If you installed JBoss Tools from eclipse,

 

and if you converted a Dynamic Web Module to a Maven project, 

 

you may get a message like this.

 

 

If you create a Maven project by selecting "Maven Project"

 

you will not see this message.

 

 

If you created the project as a Maven project, 

 

the Project Facet will show that 

 

the Dynamic Web Module selection is disabled in the Project Facet, 

 

so you can use the

 

Utility Module is available in the Project Facet.

 

 

To create a Maven project 

 

In the “New Maven Project” popup, select

 

Create a simple project (skip archetype selection)

 

in the “New Maven Project” popup to create a simple Maven project.

 

 

For Spring Boot

 

in the wizard, select Spring Boot > Spring Starter Project.
